This town has a population of 90, but it attracts thousands of visitors specially during winter, which is skiing season. While we were there we saw many bikers, cyclists, hikers, and campers who like us are drawn to the beauty of Mt. Baker National Forest and the North Cascades.
We spent the weekend here with another teaching couple who drove from BC with their one-year old son. We used to teach at the same school in Thailand but they later moved to Shanghai, then Hong Kong. Two summers ago we went hiking and camping for days at the Entiat River/Glacier Peak Wilderness. This time we did something more mellow by staying at a condo unit that we won at an auction (the accommodation, not the condo itself).
